About

I was born and raised in the high deserts of Southern California. After graduating from college in San Francisco, I spent half a year crisscrossing the lower 48 states on a tour of the National Parks. I am inspired by the beauty and diverse communities in our country, and I use this inspiration in my daily teaching practice. In my spare time, I enjoy a long trail run with an audiobook, playing fetch with my Border Collie, or experimenting with fermentation!

Before Quest Forward Academy

Before Quest Forward Academy, I worked as an experiential educator with a charter school in Southern California. We went on field trips from Colorado to Washington D.C. I then taught 7th grade at a public school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Why I Chose to Work at Quest Forward Academy

Quest Forward Academy allows me to easily apply my teaching philosophy into my daily practice which is to teach beyond the four walls of the classroom. The opportunities that students have to engage and learn with their communities inspired me to join the amazing team at Quest Forward Academy.
