Sarah Earnest

Assistant Director, School Counselor

Sarah Earnest, Counselor at Quest Forward Academy Omaha

About

I grew up in a family of four girls in Sioux City, Iowa. During high school I gained a passion for teaching others through my involvement coaching figure skating lessons and academically tutoring younger students.

Since graduating with my degree in education I have taught in a variety of environments, from my experience in both public and private schools, to a summer I spent teaching in Indonesia. I am passionate about guiding students as they strive for personal success and self-discovery.

Roles at Quest Forward Academy

I serve Quest Forward Academy Omaha as both the School Counselor and Assistant Director.

As a school counselor, my role is to ensure that every student has a plan for academic success and for pursuing their path post-graduation. I collaborate with the Internship Coordinator to develop and implement the Pathways Program, a four-year program building student skills in the areas of professionalism, career exploration, and financial literacy. I also work one-on-one with students to explore their interests, strengths, and goals.

As one of the two assistant directors at the academy, my role focuses on student services, academic support, and student records.
